We are thrilled to announce that the MultiValue World Foundation has officially launched an ambitious project to collect and digitize historical magazines and documents relevant to the PICK/MultiValue community. This initiative is part of our ongoing mission to preserve and promote the rich heritage of MultiValue databases and share it with enthusiasts, users, and developers around the globe.
Recently, we were fortunate to receive a generous contribution from Dawn Wolthuis, President of Tincat Group, and Solom Hamada, who have both played a crucial role in collecting and preserving these important publications. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to them for their dedication to safeguarding these valuable resources.
Our team has been hard at work scanning these documents, and we are excited to share that the first batch is now available in the Documents section of MultiValue.World. The initial set includes:
Dimensions – 5 Issues
Pick User Digest – 12 Issues
RDBM – 6 Issues
Spectrum Tech – 1 Issue
Axiom Technical Overview – 1 Document
UniVerse Whitepaper – 1 Document
These publications represent just the beginning. We are currently preparing to release an additional set that includes:
30 Issues of DataStage
6 Issues of JES Quarterly Report
28 Issues of PickWorld
12 Issues of Revelations
12 Issues of International Spectrum
Many of these documents are either extremely rare or cannot be found online anywhere else except on MultiValue.World, making this project an invaluable resource for the community. All documents have been meticulously scanned using OCR (Optical Character Recognition) technology and are fully text-searchable, enhancing their accessibility and usability.
Our aim is to build a comprehensive digital archive that celebrates and preserves the legacy of the MultiValue community.
How You Can Contribute: If you have old copies of PICK/MultiValue magazines or other documents and would like to support this project, we invite you to reach out. Please use the Contact form on the homepage of MultiValue.World with details of the publications you have. We will coordinate with you to arrange for scanning and inclusion in our growing archive.
Thank you for being part of this journey to protect and share the history of MultiValue for generations to come.
Regards,
Jay LaBonte
President and Founder
